Supporting Information
Increase skill and creativity
People are encouraged to become involved in
the group,
by organising events and suggesting
how the group should
develop. Being involved
in the committee and taking
responsibility for
specific issues helps to develop managerial skills.
Members are also encouraged to undertake training
and to
develop their existing skills. Members are
given the chance to
write their stories for publication
in the newsletter or
website.
Improve the quality of life
By improving health and confidence through providing
opportunities to meet other younger stroke survivors,
attend talks and discussions, concerts and exhibitions,
and by
providing activities free or at low cost we help
to mitigate
the effect of stroke.
Different Strokes London North Group
